Introduction
Vilnius University Faculty of Communication is organising a conference on the preservation of digital contents on the 29th of June 2007 to operate in conjunction with the meeting of the partners leading DigitalPreservationEurope. Participants in the conference will have the opportunity to hear presentations from prominent specialists in the field of digital preservation who will also be available throughout the event for discussions.
DigitalPreservationEurope (DPE) is funded under the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission. The partners in DPE work to create synergies and collaborative interactions between the academic, research, cultural, public administration and industry sectors in Europe to secure effective preservation of digital materials. The primary goal of this conference is to share current research on and approaches to digital preservation.
The working language will be English.
Deadline for registration is 18 June 2007. Participation is free of charge.
